San Cassiano, Alta Badia, Dolomites
The Dolomites’ most anticipated reopening: the Pizzinini family’s storied San Cassiano hotel — begun as an 1850 parish house with an osteria, run by three generations into an alpine institution — relaunched in July 2025 as a fully Aman-managed resort after a ground-up redesign by Jean-Michel Gathy. Fifty-one rooms and suites in minimalist alpine register, a double-height arrival lounge, an Aman Spa with three pools, and direct access to Alta Badia’s 1,200 km Dolomiti Superski circuit from the village core. Aman doesn’t publicly market weddings here yet — celebrations are by enquiry, in the mould of Aman’s buyout culture elsewhere — which makes it the collection’s quiet-power play: the newest, most exclusive address in the mountains, two seasons a year, with the Sella group filling every window.
