Twenty-four suites are spread across three buildings, the Villa, the Palazz and the Casa al Lago, and the terraced gardens drop through mosaic paths and lemon trees to the lakefront.
It was named the world’s best hotel by the World’s 50 Best list in 2023, which is a shorthand for how completely the restoration was done: frescoes, Como silk on the walls, and rooms that look like a private house rather than a suite category.

No. The hotel takes weddings only as a complete buyout of the estate, so the villa, the gardens and all twenty-four suites are yours. It is the reason the property works for a wedding at all, and it sets the floor on the budget.
How many guests can Passalacqua hold?+
The hotel publishes no seated capacity. Twenty-four suites sleep about fifty guests on site, and planners run garden dinners here in the range of 60 to 100 with the rest of the party staying nearby. Confirm your number with the hotel before you send invitations.
Where do the extra guests stay?+
Cernobbio and Como town are ten to fifteen minutes away by car and hold most of the lake’s rooms. Boat transfers from the Passalacqua jetty are the pleasant way to cover that distance, and are how most weddings here move guests.
