The Astir Palace occupies a 30-hectare pine-covered peninsula at Vouliagmeni, half an hour down the coast from central Athens, on ground that was the private retreat of the Greek political class from the 1960s onward.
Four Seasons reopened it in 2019 across three buildings, the modernist Arion, the sea-facing Nafsika and a run of bungalows in the pines, with private beaches on both sides of the headland.
It is the only venue in this collection that publishes a range this wide: the hotel quotes celebrations from ten people to a thousand.
The Nafsika ballroom takes up to 450, the Living Room Terrace up to 500 with the Aegean in front of it, and the Plateia Terrace up to 1,000.

Why marry on the Athens Riviera instead of an island?+
Access. Guests fly into one airport, reach the hotel in about 35 minutes and need no ferry or connecting flight, which for a long-haul guest list removes a whole day of travel at each end and a great deal of luggage risk.
Can guests see Athens itself?+
Yes. Central Athens and the Acropolis are roughly 30 to 40 minutes north by car depending on traffic, so a morning at the Acropolis Museum and an evening ceremony on the peninsula are the same day. Cape Sounion is 45 minutes the other way.
Is there a beach for the ceremony?+
The peninsula has private beaches on both sides of the headland, along with terraces above them. Ask which stretch is exclusive to your event and at what hour, because the beach clubs here run a busy day trade through the summer.
When is the best season?+
May, June, September and October. Athens in July and August is genuinely hot, often above 35C, and while the peninsula catches sea breeze, an afternoon outdoor ceremony in high summer is hard on guests in formal clothes.
