We spent three days at the Danieli. A major advantage of the hotel is its location by St. Mark’s Square, along with the beautiful view of the lagoon from the window. The hotel has an incredible, romantic atmosphere, a stunning hall and lobby, and the charming Terrazza restaurant, which arguably offers the most beautiful view in all of Venice. Unlike the reception staff, the restaurant staff are very kind and welcoming. Breakfasts on the terrace were simply magical. In the afternoons, we enjoyed pleasant moments over coffee in the hotel’s beautiful lobby. If you want to indulge in pure romance and feel as if you’ve stepped back into the times of Agatha Christie, then Danieli will fulfill that perfectly. It is an iconic hotel with a long history.

Hotel Danieli is the perfect place to enjoy your breakfast or coffee while taking in a truly breathtaking view. The atmosphere is elegant and timeless, and the terrace offers one of the most beautiful panoramas you can experience in Venice. A big thank you to the gentleman at the rooftop reception. Even though brunch was officially available only until a certain time, he kindly allowed us to stay, seated us without any issue, and arranged a wonderful table for us. He was extremely polite, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made our experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to start their day with great service and an unforgettable view.

Hotel Danieli is an absolute Venetian dream, a classic Italian treasure that transports you straight into a bygone era. It truly lives up to its fame, feeling less like a hotel and more like a beautifully preserved palace or castle. The grandeur is matched by the stellar service; the staff are unfailingly friendly and attentive. Rooms are not only comfortable but elegantly designed, maintaining a sense of historical charm without sacrificing modern luxury. A highlight you simply cannot miss is the breakfast on the terrace. The view over the lagoon is breathtaking, and if the stars align, you might even have a small, feathered visitor join you for coffee! It's little wonder Hollywood has chosen this exquisite setting for so many films like Moonraker (1979), the Danieli is a star in its own right. A truly magnificent and memorable stay.
