We stayed at this property for two nights. Overall, the hotel is decent, but it did not fully meet our expectations, and attention to detail is lacking in several areas. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I felt this one was necessary. I hope this review will help the property improve. The hotel provides a complimentary boat transfer from the harbor, which is a nice gesture. However, the boat that picked us up did not appear to have any life jackets on board. Life jackets should be available regardless of the water conditions. Interestingly, the boat that took us back to the harbor was a different one and did have life jackets, showing inconsistency in their transfers. Other properties on the island seem to operate their own boats, but from what I observed, this hotel does not. The pool is very good, and the location of the property is excellent. Upon arrival, we were initially given a room located right next to the pool and restaurant. It was extremely noisy, and we could hear everything happening outside, so we declined it. There were other rooms available, so I’m not sure why this one was allocated to us. After requesting a change, the staff prepared another room, which was much better. The restaurant was quite ordinary, so we chose to dine at nearby properties instead. Pulau Restaurant next door was excellent and highly recommended and good service. Breakfast was included in our room rate, but we were not informed about what items were part of the breakfast offering. We had to figure everything out ourselves. In other hotels, staff typically explain the dishes, juices, tea, and coffee options. The hotel offers free water activities, but the equipment is poorly maintained. The snorkeling masks were not properly cleaned, and everything was stored haphazardly in a cupboard. We also requested life jackets for paddle boating and were surprised to learn that none were available. Offering water activities without basic safety equipment is unacceptable. The bathroom has not been cleaned properly for some time. There was no hand soap provided either. During our stay, a group of noisy guests disrupted the atmosphere for others, which affected the overall experience. Additionally, the property does not have WiFi in the rooms; it is only available at the restaurant / lobby area. I was glad we stayed only two nights.
