Looks cuter than it was. Stayed there for two nights in November. Be aware that the reception is open only for a couple of hours to check in and that you can only store luggage until 17 on day of check-out. Not recommended for those with car (but I would never recommend someone to enter Sintra with a car!). When I arrived, I was given a room "upgrade" which I tried to refuse as it was right next to the reception/main entrance/breakfast area and I wanted something more private (like the smaller room that I booked), however they were apparently all full. Maybe the other rooms are more comfortable, but Room 1 has its faults. While it is certainly big, it does open right onto reception and the door is not insulated. It was extremely damp/humid and there was no way to air out the bathroom, from which came always came a bad odour. Breakfast looks cute in photos, but the quality was supermarket-brand of everything (surprising given the infinite really great breakfasts I've had in Portugal in even much cheaper accommodations). Waffles? Great idea, but not when they are not cooked well and they are paired with ice cream toppings. Breakfast room is absolutely freezing in the winter. I skipped it altogether the second morning. Honestly, for this price, I would go to either a more modern structure or one with old-style charm but higher standards. Maybe in summer it is more comfortable? The two young ladies working at reception were kind.
