Such a wonderful experience with a very welcoming staff! Amanda , Marcos, Iris, Hugo, Pedro treated me like family: they have a great spirit of cooperation, so knowledgeable about Sintra since some grew up there , especially Pedro who would walk trails near castles as teenager! Amanda , manager is very attentive as other staff members are , too. Marcos & Iris had THE greatest FREE breakfasts in its beautiful restaurant as one looks out windows surrounded by thick, verdant, forest next to UNESCO’S National Park.Hugo & Pedro would bring coffee or tea especially prepared at 5:00 am at no charge! Yes, one can walk 5 minutes to one castle Quinta da Regaleira, and 3 minutes to the white cone Sintra PALACE Amanda, manager called me night before my travels to ask if I needed anything before my early morning departure to airport and had a carry out breakfast for me to take to airport early in morning. Lord Byron , Poet, stayed in this cozy hotel - oldest one on Iberian Peninsula . He was inspired by Sintra And I’m coming back !,, YES!!
