What a beautiful secluded location! Our stay at solar do Castelo was so memorable. With beautiful grounds and amazing welcoming staff. We had the smaller room but it was actually quite spacious. Our room had views of the bay if it wasn’t raining and is truly nestled into the castle. Like many people said it may be hard to get transport to the actual hotel but there is a bus station within a short walking distance and multiple attractions nearby, we overall did not find any issues with transportation. I do recommend booking the airport transport with staff ahead of time to ensure you aren’t walking up hill with all your luggage. Overall loved out stay here and waking up to the peacocks.
