How many guests can Schloss Prösels host?+
The Knight’s Hall seats 120 for a gala dinner (the castle’s own plan cites up to 135 guests overall). Civil ceremonies happen in the fireplace room at around 20 seated, with larger symbolic ceremonies in the courtyard or chapel.
Can you legally marry at Schloss Prösels?+
Yes — civil ceremonies are performed on-site in the Kaminzimmer; dates are arranged through the castle office. It’s one of South Tyrol’s established civil-ceremony castles.
Where do wedding guests stay?+
The castle has no lodging — it’s an event-only monument. Guests stay in Seiser Alm hotels nearby (several, like Romantik Hotel Turm, are also authorised catering partners).
When is Schloss Prösels available?+
The castle operates 1 May to 31 October. Weddings typically run on Saturdays, when the castle closes to visitors and hands the day to one couple, with access until about 2 am. No fireworks.
