Pauls, given its Renaissance form by the knight Jakob Fuchs von Fuchsberg in the early 1500s and now run by the Gostner family as South Tyrol’s definitive castle-wedding buyout.
The turreted silhouette rises straight out of Eppan wine country — parkland, an orangery, historical ballrooms, frescoed noble chambers you actually sleep in, and around ten suites at the castle with more at Ansitz Zinnenberg, the family’s manor a short drive away, which extends celebrations to about 160 guests.
Weddings take the whole castle: an in-house team runs décor, music and the kitchen (chef Danilo D’Ambra), and the pairing of castle plus manor lets a wedding stretch across a full weekend without leaving the estate.
