Wedding Reception Venue From the moment we visited Pyrgos Restaurant the year before our wedding, we knew we had found the one. We met with the owner and staff while viewing the venue, and straight away it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. There was such a calm confidence about them that instantly gave us complete trust. Our wedding planner, Athina at Sublime Weddings, recommended Pyrgos to us, and as we had never been to Santorini before, we wanted to see it in person before committing. The second we set foot there, we just knew it was the most perfect venue imaginable. Not only because of the breathtaking views and the stunning setting, but because of how we were treated. We tried the food and the owner brought us out chocolate cake — completely complimentary. The way we were looked after made us feel so confident about how we would be treated on our wedding day. And honestly, it was the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten. I loved it so much that I requested it for our wedding day because I couldn’t not share it with our guests. Fast forward a year, and the big day arrived. Before the wedding, we had a meeting with a lovely lady (I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten her name) who was absolutely incredible. She showed us around the venue again, answered every question, and did everything we asked with such care and professionalism. She gave us total faith that our wedding day was going to be perfect. And it truly was. When we arrived at Pyrgos for our reception, we were taken to a private bridal side room where my husband and I had time to freshen up before our entrance. The staff brought us beers and our own canapés, giving us 10–15 minutes to relax, eat, drink, and take a breath after photos while they finished setting up for our guests. That moment alone meant so much to us. Throughout the entire evening, our guests were constantly looked after. One of the wonderful staff members stayed with us all night, bringing us our drinks and serving our food. We had a buffet, but he plated everything especially for us and ensured we never needed to get up if we didn’t want to. He genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. The venue itself is simply perfection. I’ll be recommending Pyrgos Restaurant for the rest of my life. If anyone I know is getting married abroad, this is the place I will tell them to go. It truly has everything. The views are unbelievable — seeing Santorini from Pyrgos, with the white buildings glowing at night, is something I will never forget. There’s one thing having an ocean view during the day, but nothing compares to this at night. This is the view you want for your wedding reception: the lights, the atmosphere, the magic of Santorini laid out before you. I’m adding photos because words honestly aren’t enough. We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect wedding reception venue. THANK YOU PYRGOS, WE WILL BE BACK. your staff really do make your venue 5 stars, its perfect as it is but they go above and beyond Isabel & boston september 25
