We booked a couple of days there during summer in the Honeymoon suite. On their webpage they sell the suite as a second floor room with alot of privacy. When we arrived to the hotel we were greeted by the receptionist who did our check in and then showed us to our room. It was on the ground floor and nothing like the pictures we had seen on their webpage. But she told us it was a honey room suite. The receptionist left us at the door and right away after entering the room we saw old coffee stains, dust and spider web. The sink and shower had old stains on them, the air condition was barely working and the shower drain worked at 10% so the whole shower filled up with water. We called the receptionist to complain and she arranged a cleaning lady would come and clean. The lady came in, we showed her what we have found and she started cleaning. We asked what type of room this is, if this was a honeymoon suite. She said no this is a junior suite. After she brushed a way some dust and washed the floor she asked us if it was ok. There was still stains a lot of places as the floor was the only place she used water and soap. After we replied no she got very offended and stormed out. We were left in a bit of a shock and proceeded to call the receptionist again to find a solution. The receptionist said she had more important stuff to do and kind of brushed us off. At the point we were very frustrated after a long day of traveling and then being treated like this in a five star hotel. After some arguing the receptionist herself and a new cleaning lady came to our room to see. We showed them what we had found and they were very cold towards us and spoke a lot in Greek between themselves. We decided that we would try and ask the manager if we could cancel and get some of our money back the next day. They did not want to inform the manager that evening and told us that we could ask him in the morning when he arrived at the hotel. We wanted to know as soon as possible since it was high season and we wanted to book another hotel if we could get some of our money back. But understood that we had to wait until the morning to ask the manager. The morning after we met him and told him everything. He was very apologetic and was very sad we had this experience. We asked if we could cancel the remaining days and get our money back and he said he would send a request to his company (Which he said was not radisson). And then he would send us a email with the confirmation. He swore this would be accepted within a few hours. We were very happy and left for another hotel. We did not hear from him in a couple of days even though we tried to reach him multiple times. Finally he answered our email with that the request had been sent and everything was in order for cancellation. We thought that was the last of it and felt relieved. The day after he sent another email saying that suddenly the “board” above him had declined our cancellation and we would not receive the money back. They stated they had tried to fix “our” problems we had and we weren’t happy. We felt like we had been tricked and scammed. We never got any money nor any points on our radisson member for our stay. We saw that they re-booked the room we had for some other guests. So they took out and some other poor guests money for the same room at the same dates. Usually you get radisson points each time you stay at a hotel, but since nothing showed up in our account it seemed like they had somehow deleted our stay without paying us back.
