This is the practical choice among the great Como properties: it has the room count, the ballroom and the kitchens to run a real wedding, rather than a very beautiful house that has to borrow them.
Sala Regina seats about 120 for dinner with room to dance, the lakeside glass terrace seats around 60 for something smaller, and the gardens and the two terraces handle ceremonies and drinks.
The floating pool moored on the lake in front of the hotel is the picture everybody takes.

What is the wet-weather plan?+
Sala Regina and the indoor restaurants take the whole dinner, which is the real argument for a hotel rather than a private villa on this lake. Como gets rain in May, June and September, and a plan that needs a marquee costs more than it looks.
How do guests get there?+
About an hour and a half from Malpensa by road along the western shore, or by train to Como and then car or lake ferry. The hotel has its own jetty, so boat transfers from Bellagio and Varenna work for guests staying across the water.
