Bob Burns bought and restored it and reopened it as a hotel in 2001 with around twenty rooms, some of them in the lemon house and the coach house in the park.
Stefano Baiocco has held two Michelin stars in the dining room for years, and the food is a reason people come without a wedding attached.
It is the smallest property in this collection, and that is the whole proposition: weddings are intimate, run as a buyout, and happen on the lakeside terrace, under the pergola or on the lawn that goes down to the water.

The villa was requisitioned in 1943 and Mussolini lived here under German guard during the Salò Republic until 1945. The hotel does not make a feature of it, but guests read about it, so it is better to know than to be surprised.
Which airport do guests use?+
Verona Villafranca is about 80 km and an hour and a quarter away; Milan Bergamo and Brescia are similar. Malpensa is around two hours. The western shore road is slow and narrow in July and August, so allow more time than the map says.
