Castello di Granarola Relais - Adults Friendly-

Honestly, we are still here for another 5 nights, but I couldn't wait for this moment. This is, by far, the nicest, most relaxing, most welcoming and simply breathtaking places I have ever stayed. So much so, that my partner who doesn't really travel, was here an hour before instructing me that we are coming back 😅 The breakfast is exquisite, beautifully displayed and the little lemon muffins are the best thing you could want to consume after meats, cheeses, breads and crostini. (All nice but the way) The staff from the receptionists to the gardener, the maintenance crew to the bakers are wonderful people. So full of character, charm and knowledge. Nothing is too much for them and where you normally feel like you're asking too much of people, it's quite the opposite here. A simple question like where to visit or eat dinner that day turns into a great conversation about the history of the venue/event, followed by them offering to book you a space/table etc. effortless really, exactly how hospitality can and should be done! As for the venue itself. I am a huge architectural nut, and I can categorically say that this has been restored to perfection. Every inch, every surface and even the close and intimate selection of flowers (like the glass breakfast room with the Jasmin ceiling) could not be better. Everything simply compliments everything perfectly. The rooms are no different. I will admit that upon request I was shown a few that were not occupied currently and wow. How? I mean, how do you just get EVERYTHING so spot on and correct!? Honestly, this place is stunning throughout. I've never felt so relaxed and welcome, so at ease and stress free when away. This is like a second home, where no matter rhow many people are staying, your emade to feel like the entire stay is a personally designed retreat just for you. I never really leave reviews, because I never feel it worthwhile. I kind of don't want to leave this one, just because I'll be rather upset if there is no availability when I inevitably come back!
