We had such an amazing stay at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi. From the moment we arrived, everything was just incredible. The island itself is absolutely beautiful , the water is crystal clear, the beaches are perfect, and the villas are stunning. Our villa was unbelievable. Having our own pool and waking up to that ocean view every morning was something really special. What really made the trip though was the service. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and you can really feel how much they care about making your stay perfect. A special thank you to Sina, who was fantastic and always made sure every details was perfect. And Mubarak was honestly amazing. He made everything so easy for us and was always there whenever we needed anything. He really went above and beyond and made our stay even more special. The food was also great, so many amazing restaurants and every meal was delicious. Overall we had the best time and can’t recommend the Waldorf Astoria Maldives enough. It’s truly a special place and we can’t wait to come back.

Our stay at Waldorf Astoria Maldives was nothing short of extraordinary. It was our very first time in the Maldives, and we could not have imagined a more perfect introduction to this beautiful part of the world. From the moment we arrived at the airport until our departure, everything was perfectly organised. We always felt genuinely cared for. Even at the end of our stay, the team made sure we were smoothly guided to the correct check-in for our flight home, a detail that truly reflects their exceptional level of care. The hospitality was truly unmatched. What touched us most was that the warmth and kindness were never staged or superficial. Every smile, every gesture, and every conversation felt sincere and heartfelt. You can clearly sense that the people working there are dedicated with passion and pride. Travelling with children can sometimes be challenging, yet the entire team embraced our kids with such genuine affection that they did not want to leave. At breakfast, they were surprised with thoughtful little gestures, including warm milk with personalised messages written just for them. These small details created unforgettable moments for our family. The island itself is breathtakingly beautiful, a true paradise. Every activity we joined was perfectly organised and seamlessly executed. We were also fortunate to experience the Chinese New Year celebrations during our stay, and the special event was outstanding in every aspect. We left with full hearts, deeply grateful, and already dreaming of returning. Waldorf Astoria Maldives has set a standard that will be very difficult to match.

Four years ago, we visited the Waldorf Maldives and had an absolutely wonderful stay , it was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. The resort’s service, attention to detail, and world class hospitality made it truly unforgettable. Unfortunately, our recent experience has been the complete opposite. A shocking decline from what used to be a five-star standard. We were stunned to find out that the resort is closing during our scheduled stay in July and the worst part is that no one bothered to notify us beforehand. We only learned about it through a flyer that was posted, which is completely unacceptable for a property of this caliber. To make matters worse, the management has done nothing to assist us in rebooking at another Hilton resort, nor have they offered any viable alternatives besides asking us to “change our travel dates.” We can’t do that. Our flights are already booked and paid for! What’s even more appalling is the complete lack of communication from management. Emails and calls have gone unanswered, and there has been zero accountability or empathy toward guests who are now stranded with expensive flights and no place to stay. It’s infuriating to see how far the Waldorf Maldives has fallen from the exceptional resort we once loved. I would urge anyone considering a stay here to think twice. The management’s disregard for guests and failure to communicate or assist in these circumstances is beyond unprofessional.
