Staying at the Lumiares was just what we needed as parents on a cozy, romantic weekend away. The staff was genuinely friendly, helpful and accommodating to us during our 3-night stay. Upon arriving we learned they had upgraded our room which was a welcomed surprise. The Bairro Alto Mezzanine was spacious and well appointed with modern amenities, two bathrooms and a kitchen. It was stocked with drinks upon arrival which is always nice after a dehydrating day of travel. The evening turn-down service was a nice touch as well. The entire hotel was incredibly clean and the common hallways and lobby of the hotel smelled spa-like and inviting. The staff went above and beyond with any request whether if it was a dinner reservation, taking a photo of us, or corresponding about spa services via email before our stay. Outside of the stunning rooftop views and varied food, Bruna in the Lumi Restaurant made our breakfasts something to enjoy with her kindness and gentle personality. The spa staff and facilities were incredible too. The location of the hotel was perfect to jump start exploring the city without being overly busy, commercial or chaotic, with a scenic viewpoint nearby as well as restaurants and cafes. We ate at both the adjacent pizza restaurant and Indian restaurant across the alley and they were both delicious (and convenient). If I HAD to be picky, the bed was not the comfiest hotel bed I’ve ever encountered, and the specific room we had must have shared a wall with either a restaurant or perhaps business as we caught a lot of movement and some noise. After a long day of exploring the hilly city though, and playing some white noise on the Bluetooth speaker it wasn’t enough to make us complain or be super bothered. Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful time in Lisbon. We wish we could’ve stayed longer and strongly considering adding another night.
