The Prime Energize MonteGordo

This is something the hotel does not clearly advertise: all rooms have direct entrances from the street. For me, this feels much closer to a 1-star motel experience rather than a hotel. The hotel is clearly designed for large tour groups. There are always many people around, and groups are offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which makes common areas and the restaurant quite crowded. We visited during the low season and were still surprised by how busy it felt. The buffet quality is mediocre — acceptable, but nothing special. We booked the most expensive and largest room (Room 505), and the layout is quite strange. There is a large square column in the middle of the room, awkwardly dividing the space. On the positive side, the view is excellent, the bed linen is very high quality, and housekeeping does a good job. One odd design choice: the wardrobes are covered with curtains instead of doors, which feels unusual and impractical. The bathroom amenities are nice, but surprisingly, there is no hair conditioner provided. Overall, there are some strong points, but several important details make the experience feel very different from what one would expect at this price level.
