The Alex, Monte Kastella in Pireas 185 33, open June–September.
The Alex, Monte Kastella is a restored neoclassical hotel overlooking Piraeus harbor, originally constructed in 1925 as a private mansion before its transformation into a luxury hospitality venue.
The building's architectural integrity has been preserved through meticulous renovation, maintaining period details while integrating modern wedding amenities.
Perched on the historic Monte Kastella promontory, it commands panoramic views across the Saronic Gulf and serves as an intimate setting for destination celebrations.
The hotel is situated on a narrow road up a hill, but the staff noticed we were arriving dragging suitcases, and came to assist. The hotel being on a hill has a breathtaking view of the marina and coast, with views of the mountain on the far end. The rooms are modern but can be a little small unless you are upgraded. The location of the hotel is a little remote for supermarket shopping so you need to walk to get some food essentials, otherwise you can depend on the hotel. The front of staff were wonderful particularly Dimitri and Nikos both consistently helpful. The service is exceptional and worth the money. The roofrop restaurant was outstanding with Christina being always attentive and helpful. Due to the exceptional service from the staff. I would definitely recommend.
