Luxury in the off season! We loved our stay at this hotel! Hotel lobby staff spoke English very well. They were very helpful and attentive both before and during our stay. They helped us secure a private guide and a transfer to the airport. We had a Superior Plus room which exceeded our expectations and made our whole visit to Catania a very pleasant experience. The room included a very comfortable love seat. Our balcony was small but usable and had a street view into a quiet public square. The room included a welcome gift, candy and cookies. We appreciated the 3 different pillows per person to chose from (flat to fluffy to firm), and washcloths (in Europe, gasp!). The bathroom cosmetics and toiletries were wonderful and the rain shower was so luxurious. The room was very soundproof against hotel noises and street noises. The bed was comfortable. We slept very well here and felt relaxed and safe here. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of offerings both buffet style and cooked to order. I was pleasantly surprised at the addition of traditional Sicilian “bites” both savory and sweet! We did hope to use the rooftop jacuzzi but it was closed for the season. Through a special deal, the hotel gave us 60 minutes in the Magma Harmony Spa which was wonderful. Highly recommend this experience. This hotel is immaculate inside and outside. The location is just a few minutes from St Agata’s Cathedral and the Duomo square with a pedestrian area, shopping, restaurants and points of interest. Wifi excellent The only criticism we have is very minor--the lighting in the bathroom was poor and the mirror small which made it hard to see while shaving or putting on make-up (room 207).
