Palazzetto Pisani Grand Canal in Venezia, open JuneSeptember.

Your guests arrive by private boat along the Grand Canal, gliding past Byzantine facades before stepping into a 16th-century palazzo.

Palazzetto Pisani positions you on one of Venice's most storied waterways, where the ceremony unfolds in rooms with original frescoed ceilings and Murano chandeliers, and the reception extends onto a private terrace overlooking water traffic that frames every moment.

This is Venice stripped of crowds—a working palazzo where history becomes your backdrop.

We chose this hotel primarily for the location and to get a taste of what Venice was like in the past. And yes, the location was perfect!! We enjoyed the spectacular view of the Grand Canal from our room and got a good glimpse of the day to day life in Venice from morning to night. There were plethora of great restaurants nearby, and we were able to walk to most places throughout Venice without worrying about water taxi. We stayed in one of their main suites. The rooms and bathroom definitely showed their age, as expected given the age of the building, and could have used a little extra TLC such as a better shower and better bathroom counters/vanity space. Beds were a little firm and also showed their age, but all in all we had a very comfortable stay in a very large, clean spacious suite (which are hard to come by in Europe!!) Staff were very courteous and helpful. They recommended great places to eat, and helped arrange travel plans. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with an unbeatable location. It may not have all the same plush amenities as 4/5 star chain hotels, but the warm service and the authenticity of the hotel’s history and vibe are hard to match!! Grazie!!
