Falling in Love with Venice at the Palazzina Grassi. This review is long overdue for our amazing holiday at this beautiful hotel on the iconic Grand Canal back in late April 2025. Our stay got off to a spectacular start. We had arrived from Las Vegas in the late afternoon by private water taxi from the airport and entered the hotel through the Grand Canal entrance. Unlike a usual hotel where one goes to check-in at the front desk, we were asked to relax in the bar’s restaurant while our bags were whisked away and the check-in was completed by the helpful staff. While waiting, we were offered a welcome cocktail by Michel who came back with an iconic Aperol Spritz and a Rossini each with a fresh lemon foam. They were amazing and my wife will now only have the spritz if it’s made the way Michel made it. And that was just the beginning of our four night stay…the amuse-bouche so to speak. Everything else from there was equally spectacular including the room (we were graciously upgraded to a Deluxe room with a serene private terrace on the second floor), the amazing breakfasts, the helpful tips for restaurant reservations, and the amazing hotel-arranged private gondola ride direct from the hotel’s Grand Canal dock…what an unforgettable experience. This was mine and my wife’s first time in Venice as a couple and the Palazzina Grassi made every moment so special. From the exquisitely elegant Philippe Starck decor to the amazing food, central location and fantastic staff, it all made for a wonderful experience and one we hope to replicate in June of 2026 as we have booked a return trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary here. La dolce vita and the Palazzina Grassi beckons ❤️
