Excellent breakfast and service. Room a little on the small side, especially the bathroom, especially for the price. Hotel staff delightful. Spa lovely - not sure why hotel guests had to have a different colour towel though and only allowed 1, especially when it says you should take them in the sauna and steam rooms when they get wet through!

This hotel has a certain vibe to it - being one of the “old hotels” of the world it feel as if you are visiting an older aunt. But a cool and refined aunt. The staff had this old school professionalisms and level of service you only get with experience. The interior reflects the era it was build and visit the connected Banyan Tree Spa is you need a little minimalism. We stayed here in February, so the garden and pool area not open (for good reason). Surely the place will wake up when the spring arrives.

We stayed at the Palacio Estoril while attending a wedding, which was held offsite. I cannot say enough goods things about the staff. All were accommodating and obviously they enjoy what they do very much. It shows. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a king room and my daughter and her fiancé (it was their wedding) stayed in a very nice suite. The breakfast is included and the buffet had just about anything you could think of to eat. I’m not much of a breakfast eater but I found myself there four out of the six mornings of our stay. About the only negative I can bring up is that room service is a little slow. My daughter ordered some drinks and food while she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The order didn’t arrive and when she called, they couldn’t find her order. The kitchen put a rush on it and they did get the food. There is a spa which I understand is very good, but we didn’t go there. The last night of our stay we ate at the Four Seasons Grill and the chateubriand was excellent! Overall, we enjoyed our trip and this hotel added to our excellent vacation. Highly recommended!
