From the moment of arrival through departure, the Norman Paris transforms a destination wedding into an intimate Parisian experience.
We stayed at the Norman for a special occasion and had a mixed but ultimately good experience. On the positive side, we were upgraded on arrival, which was appreciated. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar team were excellent throughout our stay. We had complimentary champagne, the cocktails were very good, and the hotel was able to arrange a birthday cake for my partner at short notice. Breakfast was also good and we appreciated that it was lighter than your usual big chain Hotel breakfast. However, there were a number of inconsistencies that detracted from the overall experience. Room service was unreliable, with used items sometimes left behind. Both the daily cleaning and turndown service happened at inconsistent times, which made the room feel less well managed than expected at this level. There were also some minor but noticeable maintenance issues in the junior suite: plaster coming away from the wall above the bed, the toilet flush starting to pull away from the wall due to cracked plaster, and visible wall marks. None were catastrophic, but they stood out in what is positioned as a high-end hotel. Finally, we were woken early in the morning by a hotel-wide alarm, which appeared to disturb all guests. There was no acknowledgement or apology from the hotel afterwards, which was disappointing. Overall, with the promotional deal we booked, the stay felt good value. If this has been full rate, however, we would have expected a more polished and consistent experience.
