Overall, our experience was okay. The owner was very polite and friendly, and the location and view were great. However, the room itself felt dirty by my standards. When the owner showed us the room, he mentioned it had been cleaned that morning but already had some dust, which was noticeable. It seemed like the room was only surface-level clean, as spending more time in it revealed dirtier areas. The bathroom shower also appeared dirty, although my boyfriend mentioned it might just be the way the plaster looks. Additionally, whenever someone walked in the room above us, it seemed like dust or plaster fell from the ceiling, as the bathroom was covered in it. 😫 I understand that Makrinitsa is an old village and I wasn’t expecting a luxurious stay. Keeping that in mind, the experience was acceptable, but I would recommend more thorough cleaning.
