Killarney Plaza Hotel AndSpa

The Killarney Plaza Hotel is a beautiful hotel in an excellent central location. It’s just a short walk from the lively town centre and within easy walking distance of Killarney National Park, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. The hotel has a dramatic and stylish feel throughout. The grand staircase makes a fantastic first impression, and the pool area is absolutely stunning—it was definitely the highlight of our stay. The restaurant area is a little confusing to navigate at first, but it’s also beautifully designed. Our room was spacious enough and comfortable. The bed was very soft, while the pillows were just okay and not really to my personal preference. The bathroom felt a little on the small side. One issue we experienced was with the blackout curtains. While they do a great job of blocking light, they don’t close completely at the top. Because the hotel is illuminated at night, a significant amount of light still entered the room, making the blackout curtains far less effective. We even had to use the bed throws to try and cover the gap. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is elegant, well located, and the pool area alone makes it worth a visit. With just a few small improvements, it would be an outstanding place to stay.
