I’ve been meaning to share this review, and I couldn’t let another day go by without finally posting it. During my first trip to Ireland in September 2025, I had the joy of staying at this charming country house. From the moment I arrived, Annette and Paul—along with their wonderful staff—made me feel genuinely welcomed. As a solo traveler, feeling safe and cared for meant everything, and their kindness truly created a home‑away‑from‑home experience. Breakfast was delicious, my room was cozy, and the view of the lake and mountains was absolutely breathtaking. One moment I’ll never forget was returning on my second day after summiting Carrauntoohil. I was soaked from head to toe, and Annette greeted me with such warmth and relief, immediately offering to make me a hot cup of tea. Her sincerity touched me deeply. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and can’t wait to return on my next visit.
