Hotel to Piolet in 11021 Valtournenche AO, open July–November.
Hotel to Piolet began operations in 1978 as a mountain refuge, later expanding into a full-service hotel while maintaining its Alpine heritage and authentic stone architecture.
Perched at 2,100 meters in Valtournenche, this property underwent comprehensive renovation in 2015 to modernize facilities while preserving its rustic character and panoramic views of the Matterhorn.
The hotel's transformation from simple shelter to wedding venue reflects decades of family stewardship in Italy's Aosta Valley.
We had a good stay at this hotel. It was really clean and luxurious. Staff was smiling, pleasant and courteous. The breakfast was delicious and plenty. The only problem we had with them, is that we were not informed that the swimming pool are had been booked for a private event. We were really disappointed to arrive by the pool dressed in swimming suits and only then being informed that we cannot enjoy the pool. We had planned a nice evening with an aperitif and a little refreshing swim (eventually we were allowed to enjoy a rushed 40min by the pool before the event was due to start). The point of booking in this hotel is really the beautiful swimming pool. 🙁 I do think that you had failed us by not giving us this information, you had different occasions to do so- when we booked, when you booked the event pr when we had checked in!!
