Our weekend at Convento San Bartomeleo was simply spectacular. This former friars’ convent has been restored with incredible care, preserving its original spirit while integrating modern comforts in the most thoughtful way. From the moment you arrive, you truly feel as if you are living inside a convent from another era—peaceful, authentic, and full of history. The rooms are simple yet impeccably clean, with every detail carefully considered. Nothing feels excessive; instead, everything reflects the quiet elegance and serenity of the place. One of the highlights was the outdoor hot pool overlooking an absolutely breathtaking view. Sitting there, surrounded by nature and silence, felt like a moment suspended in time. The food was equally memorable. Dinner is served in a stunning dining room adorned with beautiful frescoes that immediately transport you to another century. Carlo, the owner, shared with us the history of the convent and explained the stories behind the frescoes. Listening to him made the experience even more special—it truly felt like stepping back into the life of the friars who once lived there. Convento San Bartomeleo is more than a place to stay; it’s an experience that blends history, beauty, and warmth. We left feeling relaxed, inspired, and deeply grateful for such a magical weekend.
