Aman took it over in 2013 with twenty-four rooms and left the piano nobile alone: Tiepolo frescoes, gilt, Marmorino stucco and the sort of ceiling that makes a decorator redundant.
Weddings work in the Ballroom, which seats 80 and holds 100 standing, with three gold chandeliers and a balcony over the canal, and in the Canal Garden, which is where the ceremony usually happens and which almost no other venue in the city can offer.

How many guests can Aman Venice hold?+
The Ballroom seats 80 and takes 100 standing, which is the working ceiling for a wedding here. Larger parties spread into the two gardens and the piano nobile rooms for drinks, but 100 is the number to plan against.
Do you have to take the whole palace?+
Exclusive use is offered and is how most weddings run, because it gives you the gardens, the ballroom and all twenty-four rooms without other guests moving through the building. Individual rooms are only bookable for events when the palace is taken in full.
Where does the ceremony happen?+
Usually in the Canal Garden, one of two private gardens the palace has, facing the Grand Canal.
How do guests get to the palace?+
By boat. There is no road access anywhere in Venice: water taxis run from Marco Polo airport in about half an hour and from Piazzale Roma in ten minutes, and they arrive at the palace’s own water gate. Budget for boats the way you would for coaches.
Can you marry legally in Venice?+
Venice performs civil ceremonies at municipal venues including Palazzo Cavalli on the Grand Canal, and couples then hold the symbolic ceremony at the palace. Foreign couples generally handle the legal paperwork at home first.
