The Villa Lena Foundation has run a not-for-profit residency here for over a decade; artists donate a work when they leave, so contemporary painting and ceramics thread through the farmhouses and the villa itself.
The estate farms organically, makes its own olive oil, sparkling rosé and Sangiovese, and feeds everyone from the farm-to-table Osteria San Michele.
Weddings come in two formats, a full weekend estate takeover or a smaller celebration with private spaces, for up to about 130 guests, with roughly 75–88 sleeping across the fattoria, three farmhouses and the honeymoon cottage.
