My girlfriend surprised me with a stay here in the hotel, the hotel kindly upgraded us to an incredible room, attention to details were left in the room for my birthday. A short history of the hotel by the head of reception. Fresh juices and cake in the lobby. The hotel is beautiful 400-500 year old converted monastery. Views of the city are amazing. The spa is great but they have an even better secret. As the nights start early we swam in the heated pool outside around 18:30 with moon light and there is a tiny two person sauna there as well with city views. We couldn’t believe how amazing this was. When we left we were gifted bottles of water two men with umbrellas helped up to the car and even waited until we left and waved goodbye. I have never experienced a service this attentive and thank Villa Florentine and its team for such care and attention.

Asked along the way.
Can we have both ceremony and reception at the villa?+
Yes. The gardens and terraces work for ceremonies while multiple indoor and outdoor spaces accommodate receptions. Most couples use the main terrace for cocktails with Lyon views before moving indoors for dinner.
What's included with room blocks?+
Guest room rates typically include breakfast. Negotiate room block rates during your venue contract—most couples secure 20-30 rooms at reduced nightly rates for a 2-3 night minimum stay.
Are outside caterers allowed?+
No. Villa Florentine requires their in-house catering team. However, they work with couples on custom menus and can accommodate dietary restrictions and wine pairings.
What's the weather contingency?+
The main event space has a retractable roof system. For full outdoor events, ask about tent options on the grounds—this adds cost but provides weather insurance.
Can we use the gardens for photos?+
Yes, extensively. The grounds include multiple manicured garden areas, stone staircases, and overlook terraces. Professional photographers routinely use the property without additional fees.
