For supposedly the most expensive hotel in Lyon, the lack of attention to detail is staggering. The service and maintenance here are closer to a 3-star standard than a luxury 5-star property. • Zero Privacy: The bathroom design is completely illogical. The shade for the bathroom provides a full view of the bathroom to anyone in the room. It offers no privacy at all and fails to provide the basic function a shade is meant for. •Broken & Noisy Facilities: The "smart" toilet remote was broken and impossible to adjust. Worse, it is so loud that using it at night will successfully wake up everyone in the room. Even the coffee machine felt "off"—certainly not what you expect from a high-end establishment. • Disrespectful Service: The turndown service was a joke. They actually left my teddy bear on the floor. I have never seen a luxury hotel treat a guest’s personal belongings with such a total lack of care. • Inconvenient Location: Unless your sole purpose in Lyon is to spend every minute at the Basilica, the location is inconvenient for exploring the rest of the city. Intercontinental would be a so much better choice. Verdict: The facilities are "okay" at best, but the execution is flawed. For this price point, the experience was disappointing
