Do Not Book Directly – Unethical Business Practices I booked a room at Villa dei Platani directly through their website. The confirmation email clearly stated the reservation was “awaiting payment” and would only be confirmed once the deposit was processed. Before any charge was made, I canceled the reservation in writing, well in advance. The hotel acknowledged my cancellation and instead offered a voucher, despite no formal booking confirmation ever being issued. Then, days later, they processed the full charge anyway. This was not an oversight rather a deliberate and misleading act. When questioned, they refused to refund the amount and ignored follow-up communication. I’ve filed a dispute with my credit card provider and am sharing this to warn others. Be extremely cautious if booking directly. This is not the conduct of a professional or trustworthy operation.

I’ve visited this boutique hotel twice while on work trips. From check in to breakfast, the staff are great and friendly. The rooms I’ve stayed in are not the remodeled ones however it doesn’t take away from my experience. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and clutter free. Everything is practical. This hotel has charm. It’s situated in the city center across the train station so getting to this location is very convenient. You’re 5 mins from the shops and restaurants. I would go here again and again. The only downside is the weak in room wifi, that’s it.

Got a triple room that was even to small for 2 persons, changing was not possible - breakfast was ok, parking almost impossible, TV didn't work ...
