Villa Alba d'Oro in Amalfi, open MayAugust.

Guests arrive at Villa Alba d'Oro to find themselves perched above the Amalfi Coast, with terraced gardens sloping toward the sea and the scent of lemon blossoms in the air.

From the moment they step onto the property's sun-washed stone terraces, the Mediterranean unfolds in every direction—a backdrop that shifts from golden afternoon light to deep twilight blues.

The hotel's whitewashed rooms and candlelit dining spaces create intimate moments between the sweeping vistas, leaving guests with the tactile memory of salt air, warm stone underfoot, and the sound of waves below.

I don’t know how anyone is writing positive reviews for this place. The management was terrible and there are so many steps. The steps alone were not correctly represented. You have to walk up a mountain to get there. Definitely do not recommend for older people or just anyone who doesn’t do the stair master at least 4x a week. Very secluded and nowhere to easy access food. If you’re thinking about staying here… don’t.

07 · Questions

Asked along the way.

Can we host both ceremony and reception at the villa?+

Yes. The property offers multiple venues—outdoor terraces for ceremonies with sea backdrops, and indoor/covered spaces for receptions. Most couples utilize the gardens for vows and transition to the loggia or dining hall for dinner.

What is the guest capacity?+

The venue accommodates 20–150 guests depending on configuration and which spaces you use. Intimate gatherings favor the garden terraces, while larger celebrations utilize multiple rooms.

How many guests can stay on-site?+

The villa has 30+ suites available. Additional guests typically stay in partner hotels within walking distance or a short drive in Amalfi town.

What is included in the venue fee?+

Packages typically cover use of ceremony and reception spaces, tables, chairs, basic linens, and access to the gardens. Catering, florals, photography, and rentals are usually arranged separately or through preferred vendors.

Is the venue accessible by car?+

Yes, via the steep Via Salita Baglio. The road is narrow and winding; shuttle services or valet parking is recommended for guests unfamiliar with coastal Italian roads.
