I was here as a tourist. I understand many of the guests in this hotel are here for business events and such. My stay here was generally positive, though I suspect it was due more to luck than consistency. 1) I was given a ground floor room. Apparently (according to other reviews) ground floor rooms were better than upper floor rooms. Except for the cons listed below, I have no complaints about my room. 2) The receptionist who checked me in in the evening was much friendlier than the daytime receptionist. 3) On the morning of check-out it was raining heavily. Luckily for me, the employee at the hotel's airport shuttle desk was available to drive me to the airport. If the shuttle desk had not been staffed (e.g., if he had been en route transporting other guests) I would have had to walk with luggage in heavy rain to the taxi stand on Via Aurelia (opposite Pasticceria Tiramisu Roma). The daytime receptionist appeared reluctant to call taxis for guests; perhaps she felt it was not her job. Other pros: 1) Hotel exterior and common areas were classy and impeccably clean. 2) Breakfast was well presented, though it was the same food every day. 3) There is a Pewex supermarket (opens 8:00-21:00) practically next door. Getting water and supplies was never a problem. Other cons: 1) Lights in the room were very dim. Bathroom lights were bright though. 2) Only one plug point available to charge devices. 3) Room curtains do not completely block out external light. Additional notes: 1) With earplugs, I did not have any problems with noise. 2) I either took trains (Metro) or I walked. I never took busses. Even so I did not find the hotel's location odious. Would I stay here again? If I felt lucky, yes.
