Built in 1962 as a luxury residential hotel, the Surfjack underwent a comprehensive restoration to emerge as a mid-century modern destination reflecting Hawaii's golden age of hospitality.

This 112-room property on Lewers Street channels retro Polynesian glamour with its restored architecture, vibrant design, and swim club atmosphere.

The venue offers couples an authentic Honolulu experience rooted in genuine island history rather than commercialized resort conventions.

I had a fantastic stay at the Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club. From arrival to departure, the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations and anything I needed throughout my stay. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between social and relaxed. The pool and bar area is beautifully designed, creating a comfortable atmosphere where guests can unwind and connect without ever feeling crowded. The onsite restaurant and bar offers great food, drinks, and live music, making it an ideal spot to spend the evening or start a night out in Waikiki. My One Room Bungalow (Room 946) was spacious, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, capturing the spirit of Hawaii without feeling cliché. The balcony overlooked the pool with partial ocean views, while the comfortable beds, effective air conditioning, and adjustable lighting made it a great place to relax. Small touches like the complimentary Surfjack beach bag added real value and came in handy throughout my trip. The bathroom was well-appointed with a walk-in pebble-floor shower, quality tropical-scented amenities, and a heated bidet toilet. Shower pressure varied slightly at times, but it was a minor issue that didn't detract from the experience. The location is outstandin; just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, and nightlife, while remaining far enough from the busiest tourist areas to feel peaceful. Surfjack offers incredible value, plenty of character, and genuine hospitality. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on future visits to Waikiki.
