Asked along the way.
How many guests can Sublime Comporta host?+
The hotel takes weddings of up to 200 guests and sleeps around 180 across 90 keys. Ceremony and dinner spread through the pine forest, the organic garden and the terraces rather than sitting in one ballroom.
When is exclusive use required?+
For weddings above roughly 100 guests needing accommodation, the hotel requires full exclusivity, which is quoted as all 90 rooms for two nights with breakfast. That is a step change in cost, so establish your headcount before you plan the budget.
Can we use the beach?+
The Sublime Comporta Beach Club is a 10-minute drive on the sand at Praia do Carvalhal and is used for welcome parties and day-after lunches. The hotel itself sits back in the pines, about 15 minutes from the water.
What is the weather like for an outdoor wedding?+
May to early October is dependable, with warm days and cool Atlantic evenings that catch people out. Comporta gets a sea breeze most afternoons, so plan lighting and anything paper with wind in mind, and keep wraps for the guests.
How far is Lisbon?+
About one hour fifteen from Lisbon airport by car, over the Vasco da Gama bridge and south, or by ferry to Troia and down the sand spit. There is no train, so coaches or a fleet of cars are part of the plan.
