A former coaching inn on the escarpment above Épernay, rebuilt in 2018 as a low glass and stone hotel that steps down the hillside.
Every one of the 47 rooms looks out over the Marne valley and the Premier Cru vineyards of Hautvillers, where Dom Pérignon is buried, and the roof carries about 1,400 square metres of terrace including a rose garden used for drinks.
This is a small-format venue and worth being clear about: the largest interior event room seats 60, the gastronomic restaurant takes 40, and the terraces hold around 100 for a standing reception.
A wedding of 200 does not fit here.

This was my first time staying at the hotel, and I chose it for its breathtaking views — quite possibly the most beautiful view in all of Champagne — and its outstanding infrastructure.

How do guests get to Champillon from Paris?+
An hour and a half by car on the A4, or TGV from Paris Est to Reims in 45 minutes and then half an hour by road. Charles de Gaulle is about an hour and a quarter by car, which suits international arrivals better than Orly.
