Pepper Sea Club Hotel originated as a traditional Cretan seaside establishment in the 1980s and has undergone thoughtful restoration to emerge as a contemporary 4-star wedding venue.
Perched on the Georgioupoli coastline with direct beach access, the hotel retains its authentic charm while offering modern hospitality infrastructure.
The property spans 8,500 square meters of manicured grounds, providing versatile ceremony and reception spaces overlooking the Cretan Sea.
Pepper Sea Club has excellent staff and the best buffet I’ve ever had in any hotel in Greece, with great wine recommendations. The à la carte restaurant was fine but nothing special. Rooms are modern and comfortable with smart control panels, and small touches like a welcome drink, cold towel, and luggage service add value. Downsides: the hotel is very isolated, with no nearby ATM, a rocky beach (only improved on our last day), and a pool much smaller than photos suggest. Sunbeds are “reserved” all day without staff intervening, and there’s no on-site doctor — we waited over 3 hours for medical help. The spa looked stylish but felt poor inside for the price. Overall, more a solid 4-star than 5.
