We loved our 4 night stay at Palazzo Cartari. We were upgraded to a suite with a sauna. The room was luxuriously appointed, quiet and spacious with a very comfortable bed, sofa, kitchen, balconies. We used the gym every day. It has a spa but we didn’t use it. Breakfast was terrific! The staff throughout the hotel were amazingly helpful and pleasant. We used valet parking for 20eu/nt. Location is convenient, an easy walk to all the sites as well as the waterfront. This hotel location is on the edge of the Kalsa neighborhood bordering historic centro. It has more grit and graffiti than the posh shopping district near the opera which some people might be uncomfortable with but we liked it because it felt authentically Palermo. The hotel is one street away from a major pedestrian street Via Vittorio Emanuele for easy access to restaurants, shops, churches, touring sites, etc.
