We had the most amazing wedding day at Notley Tythe Barn! Piotr’s food was absolutely outstanding, and the waiting staff were polite, attentive and never let anyone go without an empty glass. The guests were blown away by how gorgeous the venue was - and the extra touch of Ian the beer donkey. Susan put us completely at ease, and helped to create a lovely relaxed atmosphere for all the guests throughout the day. It was a truly special day thanks to the Notley team.

Yes. Six self-catering cottages on the farm accommodate up to 30 overnight guests, making it ideal for destination weddings where guests travel from afar.

Yes, it holds a civil ceremony license. You can legally marry in the barn itself or use the grounds for an outdoor ceremony if weather permits.
What's the guest capacity?+
The barn seats up to 150 guests for ceremony and reception, with outdoor space for larger celebrations or lawn games.
Do we need to bring caterers?+
The venue is self-catering, meaning you hire your own catering team. This gives flexibility but requires more planning on your part.
When should we book?+
As an exclusive-hire venue, it books 12–18 months ahead, especially for summer weekends. Contact them early to secure your date.
