The hotel is a 20 min walk from the old town, located on a main street full of shops, restaurants and bars, and has a fairly large underground parking lot. Our room was spacious and bright during the day, but at night all the light sources gave a blinding light that I couldn't really read by. The heating is good during winter, the bed is comfortable and the shower is great. Wifi works well. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Complimentary water in the room. Breakfast is quite good with many options, coffee not great.

Mercure was very good value for money. Initially, I thought it would be far from everything, but in fact, on the way to the hotel you cross streets where most of the good shops and restaurants are 😅. We chose a renovated room, which was a good size, clean, and comfortable. The bed was on the hard side, but still fine. What I didn’t like were the pillows and the duvet. The lack of slippers in the room was not great. Sustainability is important, but it would be much better if guests were asked whether they need them and provided accordingly. Breakfast was rich and varied, and the made-to-order coffee was very good.

Looks good, spacious, wide corridors, wide 1980s style staircases. Nothing to complain about there. The walls of the walls of the rooms are paper thin, so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, you might want to have a bit of a think. We also had the impression that you could hear your next Room neighbours from the internal vents. The shower in our room leaked. The breakfast however was delicious. Loads of choices, both savoury and sweet.
