We stayed at this hotel for nine nights in early October. This hotel has enormous potential, but unfortunately it is poorly managed. The rooms are magnificent: large, comfortable, and clean. The thermal baths and pools are very pleasant and offer many options, but they need some maintenance/upgrade work. The wi-fi in the room was a joke and nothing have been fixed despite complaint at the reception. The hotel offers also several massages, which we enjoyed as the person was very kind and did them very well. There are two restaurants, but only one is open and the bar is closed. This we learned only at check-in. We got the impression that the management's priority is to save costs, resulting in an obvious lack of staff, which also means that the manager cleans the tables when it gets too busy. Another example is finding tables that haven't been cleared from the previous meal when arriving at the restaurant for dinner in the evening. The rare experienced and nice staff do their best to meet guests' expectations, but they can't do everything and train new staff at the same time. Despite these shortcomings, we had a very pleasant stay, as the hotel is comfortable and well located to discover Siena and south of Tuscany. A car is necessary, as the hotel is rather isolated.
