There are 21 rooms and suites, six shepherd’s huts along the treeline, 28 acres of grounds and a vineyard of around 17,500 vines planted on the slope down to the water.
Weddings work on exclusive use: from three in the afternoon on arrival day to eleven the next morning, the whole property is yours, all three dining rooms, the bar, the pool house and the gardens.
Ceremonies are held in the bay window of the Berry Head room for up to 60 guests, or in Mamhead for up to 25 looking over the estuary.

Asked along the way.
How many guests can Lympstone Manor hold?+
Up to 60 for the ceremony and wedding breakfast indoors and 100 for the evening reception. A marquee on the grounds takes up to 300 guests, and any marquee celebration requires exclusive use of the hotel.
What does exclusive use include?+
From 15:00 on the day you check in until 11:00 the following morning you have all 21 rooms and suites, the six shepherd’s huts, three dining rooms, bar, lounge, terrace, pool, the Pool House restaurant and the gardens.
Where is the ceremony held?+
The hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies. Couples marry in the bay window of the Berry Head dining room with up to 60 guests, or in the Mamhead room for up to 25, both looking out across the Exe estuary.
Is there a vineyard?+
Yes. Around 17,500 vines were planted on the slope below the manor, producing the estate’s own sparkling wine, and the vineyard walk is where most couples take their photographs at the end of the afternoon.
How do guests get there?+
Exeter airport is about fifteen minutes by car and Exeter St Davids station roughly twenty, with direct trains from London Paddington in a little over two hours. Bristol is an hour and a half up the M5.
What does a wedding cost?+
Lympstone Manor quotes exclusive use individually rather than publishing a package price, and the figure moves with the season and the night count. Our cost panel is an estimate for a Michelin-starred country hotel, not a quote.
