Overall our stay was ok. I had very high expectations when booking this hotel because it had been awarded one of the top 100 hotels in Ireland, however I would not rate this 5 star. From the minute you arrive there is no 5 star welcome. Normally you would expect someone to help you unload your luggage and load it back up when leaving but this was not the case. Barely had anyone offer to help, if at all. The breakfast was ok but not 5 star. Staff at breakfast were very friendly. Rooms were nice and spacious however the water that was in the room for guests , one of them was unsealed and used. Stains on the carpet which you wouldn’t expect. My childhood teddy bear went missing from my room one day and was found in the wash the next, but this caused a lot of unnecessary stress. The location was fab and I had a lovely massage in the spa, however the facilities in the thermal suite need a revamp. Also small things like when I arrived to the thermal spa there were empty cups lying around and towels left behind. You would expect in a 5 star for all this to be constantly maintained . I would rate this 4 star max . When I compare it to other 5 stars in Killarney it is not on par . But overall our stay was good.
