Me and my boyfriend stayed here 2-7th july for our anniversary. If you're looking for any atmosphere whatsoever i wouldn't come here. It is a 35min walk to the town centre of Castellammare di stabia (which is an amazing town!) with no option of transportation except a 30 euro taxi each way or the walk which is very uphill on the return to the hotel. This was mostly fine for us as we wanted some exercise but there being no choice on the matter made it very difficult on days where you’d already explored a lot. The staff are constantly watching you (when there are actually any around) as if to make sure you're not breaking any rules, and although we were literally the only people in the hotel by the tuesday we checked out we were aggressively told no use of the pool after checkout through the man watching us through the reception cameras at about 12:30pm when my boyfriend was padding alone. My boyfriend apologised and went to sit back down on one of the loungers to put his shoes back on when the man came back and, aggressively again, told him he can’t sit back down because he’s wet? We had already checked out so no access to towels so he was supposed to just stand there and dry I assume😭 He then went away muttering in Italian so not sure what he said. I just sat there in disbelief. My boyfriend google translated something to show him in attempt of understanding on our exit along the lines of saying that he thinks the way he handled that was rude when we just didn’t know that we couldn’t use the pool, and that we’d had a nice time up until then. He said something angrily back in Italian, so we just said ciao and left. The open pool hours are 10-6 which if you’re on holiday on a breakfast only arrangement you are not going to be present in this time, and especially not when there is not a single thing to do or a single person around during the day in this hotel. The bar is supposed to be open but hasn’t had anyone in it or behind the bar one day we’ve been here. The view is lovely and the hotel is clean, some of the staff are nice, but unfortunately this particular member of staff really dampened the end of our experience here and given a few other small issues we found like the AC being turned off on the 3rd day and feeling a bit rushed during breakfast for an unknown reason we just wouldn’t recommend here with the experience we had. It felt a little soulless unfortunately but it is a beautiful place.
