Great location in the old town, close to the harbour front. Large room and bathroom, towels could be upgraded for a 4 star hotel (frayed and worn at the edges). Excellent restaurant suggestion as well as details on where to visit. Car parking available although expensive and only valet service. Given the location and room quality, good value and would recommend.

Beautiful hotel steeped in history, blending in with nearby cafes and restaurants. Tidy with a warm, hospitable atmosphere, down to the calming hotel cat. Just a stone’s throw from the attraction-filled bay and yet sheltered from its traffic. Special mention must go to Lisa and her superb crew who took the extra effort to make me feel comfortable, from finding me when I overshot the address on arrival, to serving beautiful breakfasts, to helping me find medication after a small mishap.

Staff were friendly but wouldn’t consider this a 4 star hotel - it’s 2.5 stars at best. We had a situation where we had to cancel our booking only 12hrs after booking but they refused and would rarely answer emails - understand that’s the policy, but there was no flexibility and very little communication. The rooms and amenities were very dated, all painted black (not very nice), didn’t feel clean and it felt stale. There is a beautiful cat that we enjoyed seeing and made our stay much better. Handy location if you want to see the old town - it’s right in the centre of it. The valet parking was handy at €48 per night.
