Beautiful location on the riverside, on the verge of the mountains, within 15 minutes of Corte. Great for some peace and quiet. It felt like quite some effort has been put into the garden and communal areas of the hotel. The receptionist at arrival was very kind and showed us around. The heated pool was lovely, despite the falling temperature and harsh winds we had during our stay. Our room was furnished ok, with a small but modern bathroom. The little terrace with access to the river is a nice addition. However, the room smelled funny and had quite some moldy moist spots in the bathroom. Also, the room felt really humid and didn't seem clean, with quite some dead insects, hairs etc all over the place. On top of that, the coffee and tea in the room were not free. Unfortunately, the breakfast of 24 euro pp almost felt like theft, as if the price of the room (98 euros for 2 people per night) needed to be compensated. Every other hotel would have asked 10, in rare cases maybe 15 euros for this kind of breakfast. Little choice/variety and very average tastes, despite the description of "Corsican specialties" as a response to other reviews. Overall, this hotel has big potential, but some things need to be addressed first to live up to it.
