* Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend* My husband and I stayed at Hotel delle Rose – Luxury Boutique Hotel in October 2024 for our honeymoon and, unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. First, the AC was unavailable during our stay. We were told the hotel shuts it off in October, even though it was clearly listed as an amenity when we booked. Our room was uncomfortably warm, and having functioning AC would have made a big difference. On top of that, there was major construction happening in part of the hotel, and our room would literally shake at times. Not ideal for a relaxing honeymoon. Breakfast was also disappointing, with a noticeable amount of fruit flies around the buffet. Because of these issues, we were promised a 20% compensation. However, a year later, we still haven’t received anything. The hotel refuses to reimburse us directly because we booked through Booking.com, yet they also haven’t sent the refund to Booking, so Booking has been unable to process it. It has resulted in endless back-and-forth emails with no resolution. Overall, our experience was extremely frustrating and definitely not what we expected from a “luxury boutique hotel.” We would not recommend staying here. Update in response to the hotel’s comment: Both Booking.com and I have contacted the hotel many times over the past year asking for the 20% refund to be processed from the hotel to Booking.com, so that Booking.com could then send it to me. Booking.com has confirmed that they cannot issue the refund until they receive it from the hotel. Since the hotel has not yet sent the refund to Booking.com, the refund has not been possible. I would appreciate it if the hotel could now process the refund so this can finally be resolved.
